FAQs

What is the difference between LVT, SPC and vinyl flooring?

Vinyl, LVT (Luxury Vinyl Tile), and SPC (Stone Polymer Composite) are all types of resilient flooring. Vinyl flooring is a general term for synthetic flooring, while LVT refers to vinyl flooring that mimics the appearance of natural materials like wood or stone, LVT comes in dry-back (glue down) or click system (floating) formats. SPC is a specific type of rigid vinyl flooring that has a stone-based core for added stability and durability, it clicks together and has a built in underlay – severely reducing the need for preparation.

Most vinyl flooring also has the added benefits of being fully waterproof and impact-resistant – making them ideal for kitchen and bathroom flooring.
