What’s the best kitchen flooring?

When considering the best kitchen flooring, several factors should be taken into account, including durability, water resistance, ease of maintenance, and suitability for a high-traffic area.

Vinyl flooring (such as LVT or SPC) is an excellent choice for kitchens due to its affordability, water resistance, and low maintenance. It can withstand spills and moisture without warping or staining. Vinyl comes in a wide range of designs, including options that mimic the look of wood or tile, providing versatility in matching various kitchen styles.

Wood flooring, particularly engineered hardwood, can add warmth and natural beauty to a kitchen. However, it[…]

  3. Rinse with water and blot dry.
  4. Repeat if necessary.

How often should I clean a wood floor?

It will depend on the specific flooring you purchase but in general, to keep it in top condition, it’s best to clean a wood floor regularly. Sweep or vacuum to remove dust and dirt daily (or as needed). For mopping, use a microfibre mop with a recommended wood floor cleaning solution once a week or every two weeks. Avoid excessive water, as it can damage the wood.

Can you provide floor samples?

In most cases, yes  we can provide floor samples – but we do not really carry small ‘hand’ samples in stock.

If you would like samples of our products, we can arrange for our manufacturing partners or post them to you. Just let us know which ones you are interested in.

However, you are welcome to borrow our larger showroom samples which will provide a much larger section to help you visualise. This is highly recommended with wood flooring as the larger showroom samples are better at showing more of the characteristics, tones and variance you should expect.
